Updated Terms, Privacy Policy and Safe Deal Terms
Every deal is now the creator's own post, PayPal is no longer a payout method, and Support can raise Safe Deal limits for your account.
We updated the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy and the Safe Deal Terms. Each document shows the date it takes effect.
This is a plain summary, not legal advice. The documents themselves are what count.
Every deal is the creator's own post
To keep every deal within X's rules on paid promotion, a deal on paidpost is always a post the creator publishes on their own X account and marks as paid: a post, a quote post, a thread, a pinned post or a long post. A quote post is the creator's own post, in their own words.
- Creators. Prices, campaigns and offers list only these formats. Your prices for them stay as they are.
- Brands. If you edit a campaign whose format is no longer listed, pick one of these.
- Terms of Service and Safe Deal Terms. A Placement is a sponsored post the creator publishes. In a Safe Deal, the creator always adds the post's link to the deal.
- Your X access. In a Safe Deal, we use the access you gave us when linking X only to check which post is pinned on your profile, and to read the deal's post when X's public data isn't available.
PayPal is no longer a payout method
Creators are paid out through Payoneer or to a bank account through Stripe. The Privacy Policy and the Safe Deal Terms no longer name PayPal as a payout service.
Safe Deal limits for your account
The default limits stay the same:
- a Safe Deal can be at most $200 until your first one completes;
- your Advance can hold up to $2,000, or the price of the deal you're adding for, if that's more;
- in the first 30 days after a creator's first completed Safe Deal, payouts add up to at most $500.
We can now set different limits for your account, higher or lower, and the app shows the ones that apply to you under Your limits on Home. Need higher limits? Ask Support in the app. Lowering a limit never touches money already on your Advance, paid deals or a payout you've already requested.
Earnings from a completed Safe Deal can be paid out 48 hours after it completes. That hasn't changed; Home now shows it next to your limits.
What you need to do
Nothing right now. Once the new Terms of Service and Privacy Policy take effect, the app shows you what changed and asks you to accept them before you continue. The new Safe Deal Terms are asked before your next Safe Deal action.
