Privacy Policy update: creator requests and our new hosting

What changed in the paidpost Privacy Policy on October 27, 2026, and why: creator request emails, servers in the EU, and how we record consent.

We updated the Privacy Policy. Nothing changes in what we do with your account — this update covers two new things, says plainly where your data lives, and explains how we record your consent. Next time you open the app, you'll see the changes and an "I agree" button.

1. Creator requests — added

What's new. On a catalog page with no creators yet, a brand can leave an email and what they're promoting, and we'll write once when creators of that niche join. The policy now lists that data (section 1), what we use it for — that one email and nothing else (section 2) — and how long we keep it: 30 days after we send it, or 12 months if no creator joins (section 6).

Why. The form asks for an email from people who don't have a paidpost account. They should know exactly what happens to it.

2. Where your data lives — changed

Before: Cloudflare — hosting, database, file storage, bot protection.

Now: Hetzner Online hosts our servers and database in Helsinki, Finland (EU). Cloudflare handles DNS, network protection and secure access to our servers, file storage (R2) and bot protection (Turnstile). Data may be processed in the United States, the European Union and other countries.

Why. On October 25 we moved paidpost to our own servers. The policy now names the company that runs them and where they are.

3. Recording your consent — changed

Before: we kept the date and version of the Terms and this policy you accepted when signing in.

Now: we keep them when you sign in and when we ask you to review an update in the app — nothing else, no IP address.

Why. Signed-in users don't see the sign-in checkbox again, so updates are now accepted in the app. Your account — signed in with a code sent to your email — is the record of your consent.

How you'll see changes from now on

Every time the Terms of Service or the Privacy Policy change, we'll write a post like this one — what changed and why — and the app will show you the changed points, "before" and "after", before you continue.

Questions about your data: [email protected].
